Contact Section: Cannot read text/copy & Form is not formatting properly

The contact is set to a black background while the text is gray, making it difficult to read. The link in the text is lost. And the Contact 7 form looks one way in the CS7 Customizer and another way on the screen (one look in Chrome, another in FireFox).

    Help!?! :) And thanks!
    Pat

    Hello Pat,

    I checked out your site.

Something is definitely off in the contact section.

I see there isn’t a color set for the Primary Theme Color. It looks to be set to transparent. If you change it to the default color or another the link in the content area of the contact section will show.

You can also change the font color for all dark sections in the General > Color Settings section of the Integral Options panel.

As for the contact form itself, are you using another type of form? I see the site is loading a CSS file entitled http://pat-mcgraw.com/wp-content/uploads/titan-framework-cfc-css.css?ver=4.9.5 which is overriding the default Contact Form 7 and theme styles.

    Thanks for the reply.

Per your suggestions, I unchecked the “transparent” box for Theme Color.

I also unchecked all boxes for “Transparent” on the General > Coor Settings section.

That said, the text and hyperlink text are still difficult to see on the desktop, laptop, and mobile (Samsung 6 phone). (Desktop and laptop were in both Chrome and Firefox.

Finally, there was another form plug-in that I have deactivated and uninstalled but the form still appears to be having problems – specifically the fields are extending too far to the right.

    Thanks,
    Pat

    Hello Pat,

Start by reseting the Color Settings to their default settings.

There is a button in the top right hand corner of the Integral Options panel.

Then you can change the font color for the dark sections to a lighter color.

Play around with those settings and you will see how it affects the content and colors.

I think I am missing something – won’t be the first time. :)
I reset the Color Settings and all I have is the option to check the transparent box – so if I select Transparent for the Background color in the Dark Areas (Footer), the H2 Big Title is white by default so it disappears…same with the Small Title and the social media icons.

Am I correct that the only 2 choices for colors are the defaults or transparent? If that’s the case, I don’t mind the white/transparent background in the Contact section but would like to figure out how to change the default #ffffff for the Big and Small Title Fonts and social media icons. As well as the messages that Contact Form 7 use to show [ex] your message has been sent and there has been a problem/error etc.

    Hope I am making sense.

    Hello Pat,

The reason you are having issues with the contact form is because you are using the CF7 Customizer plugin. The theme is already styled for the default Contact Form 7 forms.

If you click the color buttons you will be able to select any colors from the popup.

So there is an unlimited number of color options.

I made a few changes for you to see.

Wow – I am now seeing options that I hadn’t seen before such as the color options. Thanks.

Unfortunately, the Welcome area doesn’t want to appear – but everything else looks good.

    Hello Pat,

Glad to hear you found the color options.

Make sure to upload the hero.php, if it’s not showing up make sure it is enabled or the issue could be file permissions when you uploaded with FTP.

I think you may have an issue with that and you will need to contact your hosting company to rectify that.

    Hope that helps.
