Full width images with text

Hi!
I would like to know if there’s a way to make a section with full width images like the gallery, but without opening the image in a lightbox and with text and button below the image. Like this:
Thanks in advance!
Hello @platzchen,
Unfortunately, it will need some custom coding. Gallery is being managed by /sections/gallery.php file. You can disable lightbox feature by deleting ‘lighbtox’ class name from 29th line of code in that file.
Gallery photos are being generated by lines from 23rd to 32nd.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
Thanks,
Piotrek
Hi!
That worked, thank you very much. But when I click the button it opens the lightbox instead of going to the link on it.
Hello,
If you want to completely disable the link of that photo, you should delete 29th and 31st line of your code (29th is the one with lightbox class, 31st is simply < /a>).
If you want photos to link somewhere else, it will need custom coding. You may want to change:
<?php echo wp_get_attachment_url( $myPhotoID ); ?>
placed in the 29th line of code to your desired value. Please keep in mind that I am working on unchanged version of that file, so lines of code might be different (if you changed anything in that file before).
Let me know if it helps you.
Thank you,
Piotrek
Could you share with me URL of your site?
Thanks,
Piotrek
Hello @platzchen,
Sorry for keep you waiting, but your ticket (and modifications) are very custom. This kind of modifications are usually out of scope of our support.
However, I will be here to assist you with this. Could you please try renaming class ‘.gallery’ in the 3rd ant 10th lines of code of /js/jquery.magnific-popup-init.js.
It should disable lightbox for galleries.
Thanks,
Piotrek
Glad that it helped you!
Let me know if you have any problems.
Cheers,
Piotrek
