Adding Multiple Custom Classes to Images

Hi,
In the block editor, I am trying to add a custom class to some images to achieve a hover effect, but it overwrites the image alignment options in a sense that I can’t have a properly aligned image with a hover effect. Similarly, outside of the block editor, I was using the image widget in the brands section because I like the default hover effect, but the align left| center| right property in the css field overwrites it.
Do you know why I have this problem with adding multiple classes to images?
Thanks for your response.
Hello,
I recently had the same issue when developing a site for a clients.
It’s an issue with blocks itself I believe.
You can always use the Classic Editor instead https://wordpress.org/plugins/classic-editor/
Hi,
Thanks for the suggestion. I think it’s going to work on a page.
Just another thing, do you know that the default (short line) separator within the block editor does not display?
Hello,
It’s possible.
The blocks are still being developed by the WordPress team.
Just to clarify, that is not a theme issue, it’s not an issue related to our themes. It’s a core WordPress issue.
Or, it could be that CSS is being overridden by our theme.
I’d have to check your site with one of those blocks to determine that.
Hi,
I read on the WP Beginner site that some themes don’t display the short separator. That’s why I asked.
Hmm, ok.
That’s the first I hear of it. Could very well be.
I’ll investigate on my end.
Did they provide a solution?
No. Not really. I was investigating why the short line separator does not render and stumbled upon their article, which says this:
Note: In some WordPress themes, both the wide line and the default line will cover the whole width of your post.
Can you send me a link to your site or a page on your site which has the separator so I can invesigate?
Hi,
Check out this on GitHub: https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/issues/10569. They reference to some flipping class name solution.
