Back-end editor won't show up

    Hi,

    I am trying to access my editor under appearance, and it’s not showing up at all. And when I go to (mywebsite).com/wp-admin/theme-editor.php it pulls up a page that says “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.”

    Does anyone know why I can’t access my editor?

    @smithausw

    It looks like you don’t have full admin privileges to your site.

    Ask whoever set it up for you to make you an Admin.

    Hi Hans,

    Thank you for the quick response. I am an admin and I was able to access the editor just a few weeks ago so I don’t know what happened. Any ideas?

    Hmm, yeah that is strange.

    Normal WordPress debugging procedures would require you to disable plugins until the problem goes away.

    Then you will have found the culprit.

    More often then not it’s a 3rd party plugin.

    Try that and let me know.
