How to translate ABOUT section content in Integral Theme
You must be logged in to reply to this topic.
Hi,
We’ve bought the PRO version because it has multilingual compatibility.
We have WPML plugin installed and 2 languages ES and EN.
We assumed that when our page is in ES, the theme will automatically use the page translation from the ABOUT EN page (the one we’ve made with WPML plugin in Pages section).
But it only gives us one option, to show only ONE page content (or Spanish or English) even if we switch the language on the menu.
Is this normal? I mean, if you have several languages, shouldn’t the content change for that section too?
Hmm interesting.
And it is working for other sections except for the About section?
Please provide admin access to your website so I can have a look.
Make sure to select “set as private reply”.
Hi Hans!
Thanks for your quick replay.
It is not working for any section (nor SERVICES, nor WORK…) 🙁
We cannot give you admin as we are in test/developing mode. Our web is in a local host.
Do you have any suggestion about how to fix it?
Thanks!
I don’t think the issue is the theme itself. We have provided the .POT file with the theme.
It must be the WPML configuration.
Make sure you have configured it properly.
Once you have it on a remote server I can have a look at it.
I haven’t explained myself right 🙁
The content that we want to show in ABOUT section is a page translated into 2 languages ES and EN. WPML allows you to do that.
But the theme can only show 1 page. I mean, the page is always the same even if you switch languages. Beacuse the theme does not have the option to select different pages for different languages, or at least, doesn’t show the content from the translated page that WPML allows you to do.
I attach you the image:

The thing is that we have both pages, but the theme only gets one, even if we change the language of the page.
Ok, I understand. So when you click the language switcher it doesn’t change the page contents to the correct language?
I believe this will answer your question, https://wpml.org/documentation/support/creating-multilingual-wordpress-themes/language-dependent-ids/#1
Let me know of it doesn’t.
Thanks a lot, but we have had the option selected all the time.
That’s the problem, even forcing the plugin to use theme as multilingual, it doesn’t work 🙁
Hola Sandra,
Ok, give me until the end of the day today to give you a solution.
My apologies for the trouble.
Hi Hans,
I suppose you haven’t find the solution.
Thanks for try and for the cancel info.
Hola Sandra,
My apologies for the delay.
Can you provide us admin access to your website?
You can create an account with [email protected] and it will send is the login details.
Is the problem only occuring on the homepage, or secondary pages as well?
