Integral Lite

  • Hi,

    I am trying to configure Integral Lite. What I noticed it that when I have double layer of menu items the Title of the pages are not shown. I have also configured a logo. How can this be changed so that the Title is also shown?

    Kind Regards,

    Rob

    Hi Rob,

    That is because the header has been coded to be “sticky”. Meaning stick to the top of your screens when you scroll down.

    So if you upload a large logo or have a double layer menu it will “bleed” over onto the content.

    You can increase adjust this by increasing the spacer height.

    .spacer {height: 70px;}

    You’ll find this on line 379 of the style.css file.

    Hi thanks,

    I found the line 379. How I do this because when I start the editor it reports 4 error which need to be solved first. There is also an option the start the builtin CSS editor. I suppose if have to make a Child theme first before changing things?

    Kind regards,

    Rob

    Hi,

    I have found this two documents:

    http://support.themely.com/knowledgebase/how-to-create-a-child-theme/

    http://support.themely.com/knowledgebase/integral-lite-pro-child-themes/

    But not totally clear how to proceed. Do I need to install the zip file as an new Theme and that is it. Or manually edit the functions.php? And what should be the file permissions.

    Thanks Rob

    Hi Rob,

    Yes you need to install the child theme as if you would a new theme.

    If you go to Appearance > Setup Integral, you will see a Child Themes tab. Click on that and you will be able to download the Child Theme.

    Then install it as you would any new theme.

    Hi,

    I have installed the child theme and looking at the file structure I have now wp-content/themes/integral and wp-content/themes/integral-child. wp-content/themes/integral-child contains 3 files style.css screenshot.png and functions.php. Can I edit the style.css from the filesystem and which one to edit the one in integral-child?
    the functions.php is showing only:
    <?php

    ?>
    Is this correct? And does the screenshot.png has to stay or it can be deleted?

    I can see that integral is still active do I have to make the child theme active?

    Kind Regards,

    And thanks Rob

    Hi Rob,

    You need to keep the screenshot.png image.

    Activate the child theme then go to Appearance > Editor to edit the style.css file.

    Paste in the spacer CSS code I gave you and set it to the height you want.

    If you have any trouble please let me know.

    Hi,

    Thanks a lot!!!

    You need to keep the screenshot.png image.

    Done

    Activate the child theme then go to Appearance > Editor to edit the style.css file.

    Done and seems to be working, I only needed to activate the logo again.
    I looks like this now:

    /*
    Theme Name: Integral Child
    Theme URI: http://www.themely.com/themes/integral/
    Author: Themely
    Author URI: http://www.themely.com/
    Description: Child theme for Integral (Free Version)
    Template: integral
    */

    @import url(“../integral/style.css”);

    /** Theme customization starts here
    ================================================**/
    .spacer {
    height: 160px;
    }

    Is there a list of settings you can change in the style.css. I want to change some other things too, like the height of the welcome background image on the home page because the picture doesn’t seem to fit.

    Do I need to do anything with functions.php ?

    Kind regards and thanks a lot again.

    Rob
