Hello;
I’m using the verb pro theme.
When I check mi website in google speed after optimize my images, I realize that the 750×400 thumbnails automatic generated by WordPress, are not good optimize. I also, realice that this is the size of the featured images of my posts. With the rest of the images I don’t have any problem.
I don’t know if I can change the featured images size or if I can do anything to solve this problem. Mi website score in google change from 62 to 92 if I remove the featured images.
Could you guide me step by step?
Thanks
Hello @Asln
You will need to reduce the size of the images before you upload them to WordPress.
I suggest you read this https://developers.google.com/speed/docs/insights/OptimizeImages and you can use an image optimization service like this http://optimizilla.com/
Hello Hans;
I’m already reducing the size before the upload, and I don’t have any problem with any image. Only with the 750×400 thumbnails automatic generated by WordPress (used for the featured images of my posts). The rest of the thumbnails are ok and with the images that are not featured images I don’t have any problem.
Hello @Asln
Images always slow down your site, there isn’t anything you can do about that besides GZIP compression, caching or using a CDN.

Hello @Asln
We are not SEO experts so we cannot help you with this.
If your homepage has a lot of images then Google will always give you this warning.
The option is to use GZIP compression, Caching or a CDN as I mentioned before.
You can also use the W3 Total Cache plugin to help with this,
