Search Icon on Homepage

Hi Hans, just wondering of there is an easy way to add a modal search popup from the onepage version of the homepage menu? My site has started to get large enough to require search off the main page and not only in the sidebar of the blog/archives template, etc.

Do you know of some custom code or a link that I can add as a menu item ie. the word ‘SEARCH’ or even a favicon of a magnifying glass that pops open a modal worpdress search and returns the user to whatever results archive it would normally? Thanks in advance. Andy

Hello Andy,

Once solution could be to add a search icon in the menu and link to the search page.

If you want to create a model popup you will need to write some code to do that.

I would suggest finding a plugin to do this, here is an example https://wordpress.org/plugins/searchwp-modal-search-form/
