Hi
When I click on a menu item in my top navigation bar I want it to scroll down the homepage to the relevant section instead of going to a separate page. How do I do this?
Thanks
Hello @RMC
This tutorial will help you http://support.themely.com/knowledgebase/setup-navigation-menus/
Thanks I missed that menu setup section in the doc!
I was using the format https://mysite.ca/#id for the menu links. For some reason, that caused the menu to stay open on mobile even after selecting the menu item, and seeing the page load underneath. Strange. Anyway, setting the menu link up this way solved that, in case anyone else runs into that isuse.
Yes that’s because it thinks that menu item is toggled.
Because Integral is a one-page theme and uses a lot of anchors in the menu, we had to find solutions to this issue.
If you use it like it is outlined in the tutorial, it will work beautifully.
Thanks. I have followed that tutorial and added custom links, but it’s still not working. Any further advice would be much appreciated.
You will need to configure your permalinks.
Go to Settings > Permalinks and select Post Name
option.
You will need to configure your permalinks.
Go to Settings > Permalinks and select Post Name option.
That will fix the issue.
Hi Hans
Thanks. I have done that, but am still getting the same issue on mobile. Have I used the correct custom links url? For my About section I have put: http://blencathrafinance.com/index.php#about
Thanks
Hi Hans
Just wondered if you’d had a chance to look at whether my custom links are correct as I’m still getting the same issue with the mobile navigation. Thanks
