When I try to import widgets I get this error for all of my plugins – Widget area does not exist in theme (using Inactive).
I noticed this:
1. My homepage is set to “Post Page” (that’s my widgets are not available)
2. My other pages have the sidebars and the widgets (But they appear as static pages)
My question is:
1. Can I have my homepage (as Post Page) with the same sidebar as the one in the DEMO version?
Thank you!
Hello there,
Thanks for using our theme. Your homepage is a Post Page by default, if you want to set your homepage just like on the demo site, please follow our instructions on the video:

I hope the above is useful to you.
Best wishes,
Piotr Bąk
As Piotr mentioned the theme displays the posts by default on the homepage.
The demo is of the Pro version of Novapress which includes additional sidebars which are not in the Lite (free) version.
These instructions will show you how to import the demo content and widgets, http://support.themely.com/knowledgebase/novapress-import-demo-content/
