I assume from your last reply, the child theme will inherit everything from the main theme once activated. is this correct?

I have updated to the new version of the serenity theme (VERSION 1.1.9.1) BUT the customizer UI (live editor) is not working, I can only see the widgets section but can’t do anything from there.

can you assist?

if I want to install a child theme can I do it with affecting any of the non-code customizations I have made?

if I install a child theme do I need to keep updating that too or will it update with the parent updates?
